According to sources, Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has sent a new proposition to civil aviation ministry saying that Jewar is a appropriate location for the second airport in the NCR. YEIDA has officially reserved more than 2500 ares of land in Jewar for this project as well as has also a proposition to augment Noida Metro line from Greater Noida to Jewar, a 48km passage with an investment of Rs 2000Cr.

CREDAI is looking at both reducing the number of NOCs and allowing its submission any time before completion of the project. He added that the present time frame of 6-24 months that is required to issue clearances to real estate projects is also proposed to be brought down to 1 month.
