Q: I have a property at Sarjapur road. When I bought it was under Gramathana but now it is a part of BBMP. I am paying proper tax but till now BBMP khata is not issued. Now I am planning to construct a house on the plot. Will I get the permission and if I construct a house without permission will there be any risk in future? Please suggest.
Latest Answer: The Gramathana sites are originally distinguished by some numbers which is provided by the village authority. If you do not have the number then it might be a illegal layout which was registered in B register of the BBMP authority. So you are not allowed for the khata as well as house plan approval. You are suggested to wait for some more time as the Government is going to regularise Revenue sites very soon, so that you may be eligible to get khata.

Q: I was planning to buy a 3BHK flat in Uttarahalli on 3rd floor which is already sold by the builders. But the problem is that 3rd floor has not been approved by the BBMP. Please advice if buying a flat will create any problem in future.
Latest Answer: May be all documents and papers are cleared for the other parts of the flat and not for the 3rd floor and no one will ask you to pay for an unauthorised flat. The builders are taking the advantage of the innocent consumers as these unauthorised building will continue creating problem in your life till it gets regularized by the authorities. Moreover the BBMP have the chance to demolish the building.

Q: What is the next step of BBMP so that Bangalore remains the Garden city? Will the residents of Bangalore co-operating with the civic body?
Latest Answer: The people of Bangalore blames the BBMP, the BBMP blames the residents of Bangalore. The people says that the BBMP do not clean the garbage for months and the BBMP blames that the poeple dumps garbage according to their wish and will and vice versa. The main problem is that inspite to providing different coloured bins the people are least bothered and they will dump both wet and dry garbage together, it has become a major headache for the collectors to segregate the waste. The civic body has decided to implement new norms. The collectors will collect the wet waste daily and the dry waste once in a week, particular date and time will be fixed for collecting the garbage.

Q: I stay in Bangalore and everyday when I go for morning walk, I see the Ulsoor lake which has less water and more of Plaster of Paris. I feel bad for the nature and why the BBMP people are not cleaning the lake?
Latest Answer: Hi Kanthi, it is really sad that the lake is full of plaster of paris, reason is the immersion of the idols during the time of Durga Puja and Ganesh Chaturthi it has made the lake water lacks in green water. The BBMP made a seperate tank for the immersion of the idols which also lead to a huge problem to the people. The BBMP said that the work is getting delay because of rain as the plaster of paris does not dissolve in water and to clean the water the weather need to be dry.
