Q:I am planning to purchase a flat in JP Nagar, bangalore. The builder says that he has got BBMP approval and the site is under A Khata. Also he said he has paid betterment charges to BBMP towards conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural. However, my lawyer says that payment of betterment charges is not enough and he needs to have a conversion order from BBMP for conversion of agricultural to non-agricultural, which he does not have. Is it ok to go ahead or no?
