Dipti Aggarwal , Apartment Resident
Q: The complex is 5 years old. The owner of flat at an upper floor is renovating/ reconstructing the interior of the flat now. He broke all the interior walls and changing the layout and room size completely. This is causing a lot of torture due to consistent noise to the senior citizens living in the below flat. Plz note that this renovation, as per his interior designer, will take awhile year's time. On humanitarian grounds, is this right?is it justified to prolong the renovation for a year!!!!??? How are the senior citizens supposed to cope with this? The secretary of the society project Rs himself as one helpless chap! Also the other residents of upper floors pressurise the affected senior citizens to keep their mouth shut about their problems! Please guide. Thanks.

Latest Answer: Hi Dipti, Firstly, you should check the bye law of your Apartment Association if such type of interior works are allowed or not. Secondly, at present he is doing heavy interior works and so the noise level is high once he start the furnishing work the level of noise will come down. So, my advice to you that you should meet him personally and request him for doing such works during reasonable hours.

Q: Our complex does not have a wide or large open space. the spacing between any two buildings is just big enough for two cars to passby. The association, despite various protests, keeps organising a DJ nite at every occasion, causing lot of discomfort, inconvenience and lack of peaceful nights for senior citizens(showing lack of empathy to health and conditions of senior citizens) staying in the building closest to the site of DJ nite (within the complex area).

Q: I am interested in a 2BHK flat preferably in first or second floor. If any please do let me know.
