Service tax for the parking space.
Q: Dear Sir, I am purchasing a flat alongwith a parking space at Rajarhat, Kolkata. The builder is asking for service tax even on the parking space. According to me service tax is not applicable on parking space. Please tell me the actual position in the matter.

Latest Answer: Many builders also sell parking space. It has been categorically mentioned in the budget that any amount paid for getting a parking slot allotted would not be subject to service tax.
