Then he was told that a single buyer (who is also a seller of the old flat) has been holding the process up by refusing to sign one of the documents, although he has handed over the keys. I find that very hard to believe. What I have heard is that the location may get rezoned as a commerical complex which provides an opportunity for Ramaniyam to make a lot of money. My aunt is an old lady and has been looking forward to moving into her new son's new flat but the builders have been playing this hide-n-seek game for so long. I tried to call them from London (where I live) but no one answered the phone. Noise is not an issue with Ramaniyam Ganga. It is more likely that the actual Ganga water may come to Chennai via a river-linking project before Ramaniyam Ganga flats come up. The project has been delayed by more than a year now and the poor buyers are stuck. I am personally not willing to accept this excuse. I don't think, even in India, the corrupt, goonda-led, sham of democracy, it is possible for one ordinary guy to hold up a project like this.
