Q: If we do the register lease agreement for 30 years and lets assume average monthly rental is Rs 10 Lakhs. How much will be the stamp duty attracted in this case? Also how to calculate stamp duty on agreements which work on revenue sharing model? Regards

One has to pay for the stamp duty at the prevailing circle rates for eg- if the constructed area for an apartment in Gomtinagar extension was 100 sq mts, you would have paid a stamp duty of around Rs 1.5 lakh even a year ago. Now, with the circle rates getting revised, an allottee will be paying over Rs 1.8 lakh in the form of stamp duties. Golden Opulence has a closer and faster access to many of the significant locations in Chennai than most parts of the city, where the prices are significantly higher.
