Mahesh Mangnaik, Apartment Resident
Q: I recently purchased an apartment from builder. The association has already been in existence for a few years and this was the last unit sold by the builder. Now, the association claims that I need to pay an entrance fee and fee for share certificate and builder needs to pay a transfer fee. Builder claims that none of these fees apply to this sale, because it's an original sale from the builder. Thoughts on who's right here?

Latest Answer: Since it is a first sale from the builder association has no right to collect the transfer fee or the fee for share certificate from you.You have the same right and liabilities which is applicable to all the apartment owners.
