Q: Hi there : Currently I am looking to invest in Kolkata, India around the Rajarhat/New town area. Wondeing considering the current scenario, is it a good idea? As I live outside India, it would be great if I can get some advice. Specially hows the area between Rajarhat Chowmatha/Rajarhat expressway? Any advice would be helpful. Some ppl told me that there are numerous problems to invest in Kolkata, specially political turmoil and illegal land acquisition. Pls throw some light on this. Cheers!
Latest Answer: Hi Chandranohan, I read somewhere that Rajarhat is a planned township and is further divided into three areas namely Action Area I which comprises of malls, residential and commercial spaces too followed by Action Area II serving as the main central business district (CBD) comprising of institutional plots, IT Business Parks, plots and apartment complexes and lastly Action Area - III mainly consisting of high-rise residential complexes and mini sub-townships.
