What can be done to put a stop to this and is it legal?
Q: The corridors(2) on our apartment's floor is considered common area. Recently, two of the owners have closed their side of the corridor with a metal grill in the name of security. If other owners were to follow suit it would look and feel like one were living in a jail.

Latest Answer: Hello Pratibha, As per my knowledge, closing the corridor with a metal grill is not at all legal as corridor is a common area. So I think you should talk with the apartment management for this.
