Q: a) Was it not the builder’s duty to communicate in writing to us time to time for any of his demands for payment or registration of the deal after getting the booking ammount? b) Whether the builder can unilaterally decide to charge exorbitant interest for delay in registration after booking and then forgo the same at his whims and fancy and pressurize us for immediate payment when we are sincerely communicating with him our situation and conditions. c) If we don’t want to ahead with the deal what is the way to get refund of our booking amount ? and last but not the least important thing , d) Can the builder really have the right to forfeit our booking amount?

Latest Answer: Generally Builders will not return money unless it's profitable for them or specifcally written in the Contract. Even if it's written in the contact they will try to find different ways to avoid cancellations. Just check with the builder, if there is any cancellation charge, which may be some percent of Total cost. They may return your money after 30 days or 1 year if no time is mentioned..
