is it possible to get property tax card while buying a unapproved flat

Latest Answer: as per my knowledge there is no proper process to get property tax card of unapproved flat. as in chennai some time back government announced to give relation in this regard but still there is pending issues in this regards.

is it valuable to purchase an un-approved Flat in Town panjayat area

Latest Answer: Hey Narayaan, its always better to buy a approved flat in a safe side. You cannot prove ownership over your house if you don't have the certificate as you would not be able to get the house registered. Also, you may not be able to get utility connections. You will have problems selling, mortgaging or reverse mortgaging the house as it will not be in your name. In the worst case, the unapproved parts of your house would be demolished by the municipal authorities. Not a happy state of affairs.
