Q: I recently booked an apartment in Rajarajeshwarinagar (Bengaluru). The project has G+11 floors. The builder is required to have NOC from HAL airport for height clearence, but does not have it. He is claiming that HAL is not issuing any NOCs this year because of a court case. Is this true? Are there any projects which have been issued NOCs by HAL between March and November this year (2015)? Thanks in advance.

My comments to replies
No I have not heard anything as such. Recently I have read that before issuing NOC, HAL has made it mandatory for the builder to get a Certificate of Location (along with the latitude-longitude and other geographical coordinates) and the AMSL of the site from the Survey of India (SOI) or the Karnataka State Remote Sensing Application Centre (KSRSAC). Kindly try to find out the information before booking a property.
Yes, what you have mentioned is on the HAL website too. There was also a news article in June: http://www.bangaloremirror.com/bangalore/cover-story/High-rise-projects-worth-Rs-2K-crore-stuck-for-want-of-surveyors-for-HAL-NOC/articleshow/47668610.cms I will try to find out if the builder has a certificate from SOI and see what to do. Thanks for the reply.
