Q: I had purchased a land 12 years ago, on which I built a house. Now I am about to sell my house. I have Sale deed of the land, sanction plan, municipality tax receipts. I don't have Porcha in my name. My purchaser is opting for bank loan and the bank is asking for Porcha. My question is : is Porcha mandatory? If yes, then how to avail this? Area is Serampore Hooghly, WB
Latest Answer: Hi, You have sufficient documents for the ownership of the property. Porcha is made not in absence of title deed but in addition to title deed, While purchasing the property it is natural that the prospective purchaser will inspect the porcha. you can get porcha by your local municipal.
