I was evicted from the premises by the Owner even though there existed Agreement. Can I a file criminal case ?

Latest Answer: The lease agreement for the shop was for five years. After one year he told me that he was going to sell the premises as he wanted money urgently for his daughters marriage. So I stopped the business and cancelled the licence. When I asked for the refund of the deposit (8.5 lakhs), he said that the deal did not go through and that he will settle as soon as he finds another buyer, which he could not even after three years. The amount is still not settled. Therefore, I thought of going legally. Please advise.
