Q:
The housing society has imposed additional fee of Rs.450/Month on flat which are rented out. I have not found such a fee anywhere in India, is this legal.

I spoke to housing society president, he has convyed this is to keep maintainance charges minimal But the owners who have rented flat end up paying much more other residents which is biased. Also society preseident is threatning to stop the vehicles of the tenant from entering the society. I will have to talk to legal expert to take future course of action.Thanks for the answers,

My comments to replies
I do not think that the housing society can impose additional fee with any reason. Did you talk with the society and ask the reason about the additional fee.
