Yes. I gave notice of 1 month as per agreement and I had very good relation with flat owner till the notice of vacating. Since, they are old couple so did not use force to get the money back. However, they have added many things under repair, which were not damaged by us and they were visiting the flat very often and never objected on any thing damaged.
