Its not a Garbage Depot, it’s a proposed SWMP (Solid waste Management Plant). There are existing SWMP in Koregaon park, Aundh, VIman Nagar, also one is coming up in balewadi. So, I believe people have not stopped living in these areas, in fact these are amongst the most developed & preferred residential areas of Pune. Since you have already done some research on the Proposed SWMP of Punawale, I would suggest to do get a feedback on the above mentioned location SWMP also, in terms of smell in vicinity, trucks movement, & open land of Garbage dumping. Our project is located in Survey No. 17 & the Proposed SWMP is in Survey No. 24 & 25, so geographically it is in Punawale but location wise it is in Hinjewadi. There would be multiple access points to that point, Punawale road will be one of those. Please check the following links from PCMC web site & attached files.
