Q: One of my bathroom is leaking through the floor and it is spreading to the below flat. I am ready to repair the leakage but have asked the below flat owner to bear 50% of the amount since it is effecting both of us. They have disagreed to that and have complain to the association. To that the housing association has sent me a notice asking to repair the leakage in 3 days if not they will cut my water supply. Is it Legal for any housing Association to cut once water supply even when they have paid their maintenance. please advise.

Latest Answer: After go through the above discussion i would like to say you that your landlord is generally responsible for external and major structural repairs. You are usually responsible for internal decoration and for making sure that furniture and other contents, and fixtures and fittings are not damaged because of your irresponsibility.
