The HC has now asked HUDA to come up with a new plan by February 25. Earlier, the court had asked HUDA not to issue occupation certificate to builders till it could ensure water supply for all residents. On February 10, HUDA officials submitted a plea before the HC highlighting major hurdles in proving water supply to new sectors. According to a senior official, most crucial roadblock in providing clean water through pipeline to new sectors is about 350 meters of land along the Southern Peripheral Road (SPR) which is stuck in litigation.
