Q:
Buying a property in Malad, Mumbai.I just wanted advise in terms of the token amount. When do we pay the token amount once the flat is finalised? Will the seller give us the original documents of the house without a token amount and if we pay the token amount and take the documents and post vetting realise the documents are not clear will the token amount be refunded? Kindly advise
Hi Harshini, according to me if the documents are not proper or are not delivered within stipulated time, then the token amount should be given back.. However, in today's world everything is inclined towards corruption.. Even if it is your right to get back your token amount, developers will start making some excuses and delay paying/ not giving it back..
