Q: How to set a budget to buy your first home, in order to make the process manageable and enjoyable?

My replies to this discussion
Hi Bhutan, It is obvious that when you will decide of buying a property, you have to go through many obstacles. One of them is finance. It is like most common but major problem for all. There will be many doubts or questions strike your mind when you will think of a certain budget. Most first-time buyers see the financial aspect of the transaction as more nerve-wracking than enjoyable.Hi Bhutan, It is obvious that when you will decide of buying a property, you have to go through many obstacles. First you have to consider all your current expenses. This will cover your savings, EMIs etc. When you make up a list of all considerable number of reasons why you spend so much money, then you have to subtract it from your salary to perceive the amount of surplus you have consistently. Once you finalize it, then you will understand how much you can spend every month towards your new home.
Most importantly when we talk about loan, we must know about our financial backups. If you have any property in your name, you can keep it as collateral & take a loan from bank. While taking a home loan you need to repay your interest as well as principal by EMIs (equated monthly installments). The EMIs you have to pay for your loan, should not exceed more than the quarter of your monthly earnings.

According to me Wadgaon Sheri would be a good choice. is a residential locality situated in the north-eastern part of Pune city. It lies close to Kalyani Nagar which is a major IT hub of Pune, since it houses many IT companies. It comes under the jurisdiction of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and share its borders with Kalyani Nagar, Mula Mutha River, Viman Nagar, Chandanagar. The entire neighbourhood of Wadgaon Sheri lies along the Nagar Road. If you are planning for Buying flats in Wadgaon Sheri then this could be the right choice as it is located close to your work place.
Yes, the locality is well-connected to various developed areas and a number of hotels, schools, banks and hospitals via an excellent network of railways and roadways. Major roads connecting Wadgaon Sheri to the main city of Pune are Park Road, Bypass Road, Somnath Road, Samrat Ashok Road, Kalyani Road, and New Airport Road. PMPML bus services make Wadgaon Sheri accessible from developed areas of Manapa, Hadapsar, Swargate, Pimpri and Kothrud.
