Latest Answer: I think the work for ORR was started over a decade ago. Most part of the road is ready. It was recently that the urban body is building the 9.33 km of the ORR. Now this ORR loop cannot be completed without building the 800 metre stretch. MUDA requires the land urgently to take up the preliminary works before building the roads. But, i think the APMC has promised to get the necessary clearance done within March 2015.

The Civic authroties are actually shying away from the issue as they clearly have no idea what to do. But the waste accumulation at Vidyaranyapuram is not a pretty site. Open land fills and dumping is never a good method of solid waste disposal. There must be more effective treatment plants and techniques that Mysore has to come up with. For example the waste should be moved to another place because the residents here are getting affected by the unhygienic atmosphere. Lots of problems to deal with here!

About half these petty crimes take place in tourist spots, like Fort Kochi. If you do move here, you will have to practice caution, but It isn’t so bad that you have to lose your head about it.
