The Pollution Control board actually said that the stench can be controlled. But the MCC Corporation and Kukkarahalli Lake Protection Committee felt the sewage has to be diverted first. Hebbal is a good place, if you ask me as it has a lot of problems when prviding the basic infrastructure. Like drinking water and other such facilities. I went to check out the project and how the locality is in general, ok. Its right there on HD Kote road, near the St Mary's Church. In fact there is a Shiva Temple really close to the project. Dustbins costing Rs. 5 crores were distributed to nearly 1.30 lakh households in the city for segregation of waste. i think the work of the project is running late. The work had to be started six months earlier. this was when the MUDA officials went to seek the land from the farmers because they were upset with them for delaying the settlement of the compensation. there are at least 82,881 applications pending with it.i think the work of the project is running late. Hey there, the actual problem with this entire project was an disagreement between 5 private parties, who owned the 300 feet strech of land , and Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board. The private parties were concerned about their buildings being destroyed in the construction of the road. So the technical issues were not cleared by the mysore corporation.
