There is a waste disposal issue here. Few years ago the Shunya waste management plan was launched. The residents were supposed to segregate waste, which was to be dumped or treated depending on its nature. As far as payments go, the project requires you to pay approx 10 % of the total amount at the booking stage. I think that the availability of decent safety measures is very important for all projects. Thankfully this one doesn't disappoint in that regard. Yes this flyover that you're talking about is still in the initial stages. Construction wont be starting for some time now. So its hard to tell you about the completion date. Yes. It was a big news in the local dailies last week. The Valankulam lake area in Ramanathapuram is a breeding place for various diseases, and snakes and garbages. THe slums have been situated here for years. After years of government assurances, finally the action plan has taken place. I am not sure about where they are being shifted to.
True that. All the residents of the Valankulam slum are being relocated to newly set up multi storyed apartments in Ammankulam Housing Unit. The TNSCB (Tamil nadu Slum Clearance Board) has finally kept the promise and token have already been given out to the relocating masses.

There is this body called DTCP (Directorate of Town and Country Planning). They have said that the defaulters in education sector cannot be punished. Because the students future is involved, you cannot seal the universities off. The LPA also has complained of being short of staff. But the illegal buildings need to be cleared. Hey the average price for sq ft here is around 3100 rupees and i think that it is pretty reasonable. They have ample space for parking and the floor plans of apartments look quite spacious. But i dont think the are ready to occupy yet. Ok no wonder they are calling RS Puram a commercial hub. There are so many places to shop here. Other than the smaller places, the Rajathi mall is here, also the Brookefields mall, Pinkz, and HR Towers. In fact even the Gujrati Samaj Bhawan is also a popular shopping destination for the people staying in and around RS Puram. Ok no wonder they are calling RS Puram a commercial hub. Social infra wise, i think this place is doing pretty good. There are a couple of schools in here, like the government high school, govt higher secondary school, Shree Kamdhenu Matriculation school, etc. There are also a couple of temples around here as well actually. These are Nilai GP stores, Baba Store, Pazamudir supermarket, SS Food Steel Mart, etc. No major brand name is there unfortunately. The economy of this place is also rising rapidly, mainly because its close and well connected to the main areas of the city. Especially real estate value. Many people use it as their place of residence and travel back and forth to Coimbatore for work.Lots of housing complexes and premium old age homes have come up in and around here because of the pollution free atmosphere.
There are sufficient healthcare facilities within the locality itself. There is a government hospital here. When you shift, you should keep the phone number of that hospital positively for emergencies. There is also the APN nursing home if you go a little distance up the Narsipuram road.

I dont know if you have a family or not, but Im assuming you do. In that case, there are plenty of schools in this neighbourhood. For example, Vidya niketan junior school, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Carmel Garden stage school, KGMS Matriculation school, Alvernia Matric HS school, etc. There is even a Eurokids here. Ok so you guys should probably be aware that the Siruvani Main road is better referred to as the Perur road also. In case you travel a lot, then the connectivity of this place is also really good. Hi there Ishan Pandora is a villa project coming up in the Saravanampatti locality of Coimbatore. This project is being handled by Ishan Foundation who have several good projects to their name. This is a really good looking project if you look at the renders.

If you are a person who has to travel aa lot, then the connectivity of this locality to the other places is also really good, you have some good and well placed bus stops that wil take you to the other parts of the city easily.
