The locality is fine, there are some small probs though. The Aluva-Vytilla road is damaged. Although recently DMRC has taken up the repair works on either side of this metro corridor. hey, i think the road works are all finished by now. The potholes are all covered. Now there is not much problem there. But, the works were all finished much after the deadline. Some say that the weather was the problem in delay of work. Hey the Maradu Water SUpply project is almost over. I heard that over 90% of the work is almost done. Only connect the pipelines to the Chellam and Aroor reservoirs are remaining. And also this project needs 1000 KWA of electricity to supply the water and once the electricity board gets that, then the water will be provided to Maradu and the umbalam area that are nearby. Maradu municipality is provided 20 mld, and 7 mld goes to Kumbalam. From the latest information that I got, it is learnt that with the financial crisis deepening FACT production has been reduced. The short-term natural gas supply agreement between GAIL Gas, MMTC and FACT expires towards the end of April and the company management is expected to work out a long-term agreement soon.

Revenue officials had published the draft declaration for acquiring 1.16 acres back in 2013. If only 55 cents is to be acquired, fresh draft notification, after cancelling the existing one, will have to be published and besides the metro wll need to acquire the remaning land later too.
