Ah the dumpyard!The locals there are facing so many problems because of this dumpyard. Its a problem definitely. There is loose sand lying all over the place. But the biggest threats are the protruding manhole lids. People often trip on those. I think being located on the outskirts doesnt pose much of an issue because the place is extremely well connected. The narsipuram road passes through here, and is an improtant connector. So are the Thondamuthur Madampatti Road, the Boluvampatti road and the Kampanur road. I personally beleive that the project getting the necessary approvals is of utmost importance. In that regards this project meets the requirement since it has gotten approval from Directorate of Town and Country Planning. The members of the green committeee were contacted and were asked what is wrong and what was happening. They said that one one auger machine has been bought and has not been put to use yet. The provisions of Tamil Nadu Town & Country Planning Act that stipulates obtaining 'Planning Permission' from LPA and DTCP is redundant and unconstitutional but supposedly people were being misled.
