The Pollution Control Board directed not to discard wastes in the road inspite of that the process continues in Chambakkara Canal at Vyttila. According to the sources, one of th eresident of Kochi has filed a Public Interest Litigation against the civic body. The residents feel low and bad when they see the condition of the city. The entire waste which is generated here are dumped in the water and it is harming the environment, creating health problems as the saughter house is situated in the busiest part of the city which is surrounded by the several houses, bus stands, hospitals and commercial buildings. In past few years there have been many cases of cheating and fraud in real estate domain which resulted in less profitability and also destroyed the whole reputation. Due to which better regulation and policies are needed for sustained development in realty sector.

It is necessary to create a focal point of governance. The segregated political structure and the control of different states by different political parties calls for localised rather than centralised governance. In the same way Indian real estate has to be worked up. In terms of bribes, both the givers and receivers must take responsibility for their actions. Hi Chitra. Heera Westcourt is a luxurious project and offers 2 and 3 bhk apartments. Thus prices will be high. The builders are also reputed and are from Goa.They have also launched projects in Kochi and Kottayam. As per rohan it was almost Rs 1.6 crore six months back then definitely it is not the same. Q: I booked an aprtment in 2010, which i dont have the possession yet, but the inside work is so bad that i was really shocked . The tiles and the kitchen granites are chipped and have scratch mark all over, the grouts between the tiles is so dirty and cement is coming off the walls. We did complain aboout this but nothing is done yet. I am really disappoointed in this work becuase it seems like someone very unprofessional has done it and they did not pay any attention to it. Has any one experienced anything like this. They are already very bedhind in handing over the apartment and on the top such lousy work. Really disappointed in them. Save 1MB

Kochi also has a number of well reputed domestic builders including Asset Homes Pvt Ltd, Ultima Builders and Developers and Skyline Builders who were the first builders from Kochi to have attained the highest popular CRISIL DA2 rating. Other well known builders of Kochi include Abad builders, Kent Constructions and Confident Projects (India) Pvt Ltd.
Kochi is a very specialized real estate market and has a good balance of pan Indian and localized builders. Big builders with a pan Indian presence like DLF and Unitech have been focusing on luxury high end segment of Kochi mainly due to the presence of a large number of non residential Indian communities in the city.

Kaloor is a very good choice for investing in a residential property in eastern Kochi. The area checks all the right boxes considering its close proximity to commercial centers of the city and future growth potential. The downside is that the area like most regions in eastern Kochi is witnessing a number of smaller projects instead of large integrated townships. The volume of sales however is quite good and there are a large number of small to medium developers active in the region

Good to know that you are planning to invest in Kaloor. It is definitely one of the better areas to live in eastern Kochi with close access to all commercial centers including mega stores, malls, hospitals and schools. Yes you may not find many big townships in the region but that is more due to the lack of any open spaces rather than any disinterest from big builders.

You can check out Kalpaka Rangoli located near the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium. It is an upcoming project backed and promoted by Kalpaka Rangoli Owners and Residents Portal. The project offers both 2 BHK and 3 BHK apartments. I expect 8 to 10% increase on investment in the next three to five years in Kaloor.

Heard that work on the first 13-km phase of the Kochi Metro Rail project will be over by December 2015 and the remaining 12 km by March 2016.
The Minister requested all the parties involved in the execution of the project to ensure that not a day is wasted on project execution , as the people of Kochi desire an early completion of the metro system, and nothing should be allowed to come in the way of this task.

DLF Bay view is definitely a very good investment proposition in luxury real estate segment in Kochi today. Marine Drive is one of the best areas to live in Kochi and sea facing towers offered by DLF Bay View Project have been selling like hot cakes. The downside is that the prices are slightly on the higher side but consider the luxurious surrounding and hassle free paperwork backed by DLF, the project is worth its weight in gold. I have yet to come across anyone with a negative review of the DLF Bay view project. The average price in DLF Bay View Project is Rs.7700 per square feet in addition to the PLC charges.

DLF as builders and developers have a very good pan Indian reputation and DLF bay view is perhaps one of the best luxury residential project in Kochi today. The project is a very good investment destination if one can afford the slightly higher prices.

Good to know that you are planning to invest in Kakkanad. The region which was once considered the next big real estate destination in Kochi thanks to its anticipation of being developed an IT hub of South India. The region faced an investment dilemma as a large number of builders and developers focused on the region leading to a little underselling mainly due to global economic recession.
Yes, and the region did not get as much as NRI interest which is always a game changer in Kochi. Thankfully all issues are now resolved and the smart city in Kakkanad is well on its way.

Is Kakkanad good for investment purpose ?
Kakkanad located in eastern Kochi is a good investment proposition. The area has witnessed a lot of real estate activity without as much user interest as expected. The main reason in my opinion was the indifferent attitude of the government and associated agencies on the future of Smart city. The project is well on its way and it has strong fundamentals attracting user interest especially from the non resident Indians.

You get a fountain plaza with grand water terraces, a family pool, a 50 meters pool for doing laps, a bunch of gardens, including a private one. A pool deck, water deck, BBQ place, an Amphitheater, the list goes on and on, there are more things than you could use. Yeah. i feel that the connectivity is also helping the residents of this locality very much. There are two roads, Mathai Manjooran Road and the Chittoor Road that connects this locality to other places in Kochi. The city buses have service to this part of the town. Hey buddy. Great to have you back. Panangad has come very far from its days of moderate development. The presence of Kerela University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies, and the Salem-Kochi-Kanyakumari Highway, led to increased development and better infrastructure around the locality.

Couple of residential colonies present within Sowripalayam, Karunanithi Nagar, Palaniappa Nagar, etc. The locality has its own water tank, which is the primary water supply source here. Commercially this place is still not so advanced, I think that adds to its chilled out atmosphere.
There are some amounts of apartment projects available in Sowripalayam. One of them is the Mount Royale, which has been available since the last 3 years. They offer 1, 2, 3, and 4bhk apartments at the rate of Rs 4500 per sq feet

Oh yeah...that's true. this is also so good about the railway station. there is a railway station at Edapally that you can easily access for local transportation. But, if you have to go out of the state, suppose to north india, then you will have to access the Ernakulam Junction South Railway station. Mythri Nagar is a very small locality in Kochi. It is located near to the city area of Kochi and is a very good residential area. I think it is a part of the Ponekara locality.

So I heard several people talking that despite the Land Regularisation Scheme (LRS) is being worked out there is likelihood of illegal buildings remaining under the noses of the GHMC. The government will later have to come up with some other scheme to legalise the buildings.

So after a long time to think about this. The Metro Rail Limited on Monday, sent the revenue officials with a letter stating that the entire 1.16 acres can be acquired. So the revenue department will be working towards that now.
