Hi, I was looking around a couple of housing options in the Kakkanad area of Kochi. I’ll be moving to Kochi for work beginning of next year, 2015. I particularly like the idea of getting myself a 3BHK apartment in the DLF New Town Heights apartments building. I know the pricing, it is 70 to 78 lacs. And since I am moving in with my family and children, I would like to know what kinds of facilities are available to me and my family. And also, can someone tell me which banks should I approach for getting a home loan for buying an apartment in this project.

Exactly....and moreover, I also would like to add one more thing that you can also pay the amount as EMI of around 18 months since booking. First you have to pay 20 % of the total price (ie. BSP + PLC + IBMS & other charges). For transportation and connectivity, this area is quite good, you know. You can easily get buses from Kangarapady Bus Stop in Edapally to Marine Drive. I think it will take around one hour to reach here. There is high traffic sometimes in this area. I think other than the traffic jams, the Kochi police is also taking steps to fix other traffic issues. The city police are taking all efforts to enforce safety of road users. Hey it is a lovely locality but the real estate prices are going up due to the proximity to Kochi which is only 4 kms away from Vennala. I think the present price is at around 4,400 per sqft which is a little pricey if you ask me. I think the average that you're confusing the psf rate with is that of the apartments in this region. Apartments will obviously be priced lower, because villas are more luxurious, and posh. I am guessing by what I read that the builders have used good quality cement to lay down the foundation of the building and have also used better steel products to support the structure and doors and windows are done with aluminium frames and MS grills. I think that the authorities are trying their best to provide tankers to supply water to all areas where pumping is inadequate. There is a bit of an issue here though. Back in February, a preliminary project profile was developed by the corporation but when it was submitted to the committee that was reviewing it. The corporation could not satisfactotily answer several question fo them.
