One of the best things about living in Marine Drive is the most awesome beachside residential localities. Travel to Fort Kochi via boat is very easy. You can also take an auto or bus from here that goes staight to Fort Kochi or Vypin areas. From what I’ve learnt, the point of argument of the GCDA is that this bridge needs regular maintenance works otherwise the wooden planks in its middle tend to get damaged pretty soon. The PWD had actually done some work on the approach road a few years ago. But they couldn’t do much work on the bridge as they couldn’t find any interested contractors. Guys, The decision to widen the road from Vaduthala Railway Gate to Panchalam Junction was taken last year, thanks to the the initiative shown by the Ernakulum Residents Welfare Association that the project got its approval. But, when i compare it with the market price that was in 2012, i see a huge difference. If in 2012, the avg price for a sq. feet of land was rs. 3090, the price in 2013, quarter 3 was rs. 3968. I think Ernakulum is definitely the place to stay for the more urban crowd, the place is well commercialised and has a number of stores and shopping centres, which is basically the reason why its preferred to by the younger crowd of Kochi. I would like to add that Irumpanam is a very good locality and has a self-sufficient infrastructure, with a wide range of schools like Lake Mount Global School, and Vocational Higher Secondary School, in the vicinity. Hye Poonithura is a nice locality to live in. It falls right along the Champakara Canal. It has some very good localities around it also like Maradu and Thrippunitthura, Vikas nagar, Vytilla and Shastri nagar. Yeah you're right. The possession has been announced to be from March 2015. This project is basically all just 4 bhk villas, not too many units, less than 100 actually. Moolampilli is actually a good and serene locality. But, the social infrastructure such as shops and shopping complexes are not good. You can see some basic needs shops here. But apart from that if you have big shoppings and all, then you will have to approach the nearby such as Sebastin Stores, Pee Gee Stores, Holy Family Stores, Casanova Stores etc.Moolampilli is actually a good and serene locality. I have been many times to this area. We live just close to here only. One thing that attracted me other than the connectivity is the approachability of the shopping malls and other complexes like Oberon Mall, Abad Bay pride Mall, AB Centre, Kulathery Shopping Complex etc. These are all easily accessible to the residents who live near to the locality of CP Ummer road.I have been many times to this area. Some of the people here are into agriculture. Most people have land here. The price for plots is lot cheaper than the case of houses. yeah...this area is centrally located to many good town areas. Towards the north of this area, you can find the Palakkuzha and the Muvattupuzha town, towards the western side, there is Piravom. Here, in kochi what is happening is that the builders dont even give compensation saying that the consumers have not paid their dues. There's already been some problems in this regard. Did you know that the construction started after receiving administrative sanction during the previous LDF government. Incidentally, this is only the second bridge to be constructed across the Periyar in 50 years. Here is how the payment will happen. Eighty per cent of the total amount would be disbursed forth with to the petitioners on their executing necessary agreements.
