Legally, After submit an application with the commissioner for the OC within 30 days of completion of the building/property. The commissioner also replies to the applicant within 30 days whether the application has been accepted or rejected. The Kochi Solarcity project is making good progress. It is in the final stages of planning and the construction works are supposed to start pretty soon. A core committee and a stake holder committee has already been formed by the Kochi Corporation Town Planning Committee. The International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI) has been appointed to prepare the detailed project report for the status of electricity in Kochi. Under the solar city project, the state of Kerala will see an increase the production of solar powered energy up to 500MW by 2017 and up to 2500MW by 2030.The Kochi Solarcity project is making good progress. Q: Hey, I frequently travel from Kochi to Singapore, for business, and I am now thinking about getting a place on the airport road. Can anyone help me, I want to know more about the Sahara Grace Kochi apartments. Vehicles from Tripunithura should take MG Road and Panamppilly Nagar before turning towards Thykkoodam Church Road to go to Tank Bund road. If you are coming to the city from Vyttila, you have to take the Ponnurunni Subhash Chandra Bose Road and KK Road. There is absolutely no infrastructure to clear or treat septic waste in Kochi. The only solution for residents is septic tanks and these septic tanks have to be cleaned out once a year. But, the problem is that there is no place where the septic waste can be dumped. Usually the septic tanks are cleaned by private contractors who dump the waste in open lands in the outskirts of the city.There is absolutely no infrastructure to clear or treat septic waste in Kochi. These include garden, swimming pool, play area for kids, 24 hour backup, security, intercom, club house, rainwater harvesting, broadband internet,badminton court and gymnasium. Facilities for electricity are provided by KSEB connection with provisions for exhaust fan, geyser,TV and also telephones. All of a sudden the Kerela Water Authority got disrupted and water supply was cut off for areas in and around Kakkanad. The worst affected areas were Thuthiyoor, T V Tower Junction and surrounding regions on the Seaport Airport Road. Everyone really suffered because of this crisis. Everyday household chores were affected by insufficient water and in the beginning days residents living in residential homes were sharing the water on a ration basis but pretty soon there was not even a drop of water left in the tanks!Yes yes Kakkanad faced horrible water shortage in January last year that went on for a very long time. See, in these places between last year and now alone, the rent has gone up by 2000 to 5000 Rs. But only for residential apartments. You still find very cheap individual houses in these areas. Funny thing is that rent prices went up even though there was no proportionate increase in the number of apartments as compared to the increase in the number of people. Basically, shortage of houses led to a rent price hike every 11 months. Tough luck! Oh and what about the continued water logging and insufficient water supply? And the increased traffic congestion? Look, the place might have had a lot of work done on it in the past 3 years, but still why are we facing the same problems? Apart from that, yes there have been a couple of murders in the area but a lot of places in Kochi face this safety issue then. Arey don’t worry man! This blockage is not at all for us. Its just for the bigger vehicles, you know the double decker trucks that transport shipment along this route t night. Any big vehicles that are bound to the airport will have to turn left from the Paravoor junction and then turn right towards Aluva. Also, to reach this Aluva Paravoor junction, vehicles will have to pass through Pathalam jn, Mupathadam jn, Kadungallur west and Kadangallur east, and then turn towards the UC college jn. So basically vehicles headed to Thrissur and Aluva will have to move through the flyover underpass at Apollo Gate and then make a right turn into Edayar road at the container freight junction.Arey don’t worry man! The initial plan was to extend this technology innovation zone by an additional 1.25 lakh square feet. The 25,000 sq. ft is just a part of that. This construction had been started much earlier but due to a number of reasons it kept getting delayed. The corporation has said that the authority will have to acquire 20 cents of land and a bridge will have to be constructed over the Thevara canal to connect Kasturba Nagar and Konthuruthy. The local MLA will be the fund provider. The civic authorities feel that this project can still be taken up GCDA especially that they already have the aquired land and everything. They've just kept it unused for so long that led to this delay. This plan was formulated 30 years ago and still nothing has been done. From what Ive heard, the budget is estimated to be a whopping Rs 350 cr. Initially the minister for urban affairs was in a bit of a dilemma about what technology to use here to dispose of the waste, but now they've decided to go for a waste to energy method here. This project was actually supposed to take place 12 years ago.But nothing has happened since then. It was costing 3 crores some years ago but now the total project cost is over 50 crores. There's actually going to be a new council pretty soon and they're planning on really giving this locality a face llift. The land acquisition for this project is 32 acres and that's not hard to get because most of the land is in the form of paddy and agriculture fields. Yes actually it started all the way back in 2007. This was one of the JnNURM projects. But the residents in the nearby Piravam area were protesting against all the road digging for the pipe laying, so it all got delayed. There are plenty of apartments available in Kakkanad, either for buying or for renting. You can get 1 or 2bhks easily. The average rent prices here is Rs 12 per sq feet, whichi s slightly high, but the locality is totally worth it.
Yeah, you'll find apartments to rent between Rs 8,000 to 12,000 per month rent. Lots of IT professionals here like yourself, so you can even get flatmates without any trouble. That will be better, because the 2bhks and 3bhks are more affordable when shared by 2 or 3 people, as opposed to just one person living in a 1bhk. Hope this was helpful :)

Dude even the Forum mall is nearby. Hospitals are also there, which is always a winning factor for every locality. Nair's Hospital, Mary Queen Hospital, P.S. guys, you dont wanna worry anything about shopping and other commercial availability in this region actually, there are lots of shopping centres as well as small shops in the region, especially along the civil lines road. The TI complex, Hero Curtains, Red Moments Gifting private limited, Select shops, Talk well, Alapatt auto centre are all good places to shop etc.
But, you know, the locality has a peaceful setting and the residential area is very good here. you can find some good apartments here for rent as well as for buying. Mostly the properties are individual houses though. Some good apartments here are Nucleus White rose apartments, Tranquil residency, Abad Casablanca, Tanzeel Ebony, Abad Sunshine Court, Nandanam Suites, Skyline green woods villas, Golden heaven etc.

So I enquired about the prices and it costs about Rs.4,285 to Rs.4337 per square feet. The apartments are just 18 Kms from Cochin and has two schools within 2 kms and a college 3.5 kms away. This place also has a club house for entertainment and many other recreational facilities. You have swimming pools and intercom facility and 24 hour power back up.
The built up area of the apartments in here is ranges from 1000 sq ft to 2100 sq ft, which i think are very spacious. So i am sure you will live there comfortably.

Hi bro, i saw an advertisement for Kalpaka Elanza in the newspaper some time back. It is a decent housing project with features like 24-hour power backup, intercom, lifts, round the clock security, generator back-up, and spacios balconies. These features make the project a good enough place to live in.

Here's some details on the built up areas of these apartments. The 2 BHK flats will have an area ranging from 1268 to 1329 sq.ft. WHile the 3 BHK flats will have an area ranging from 1552 sq. feet to 1692 sq. feet.
The 4 BHK here will have a built up area of 3028 square feet with the best of amenities.Also the project will have about 100 to 500 units available for sale across all the price ranges as others here mentioned before.

The prices for the 2 BHK apartments in this project is as follows. It will go from Rs. 40.57 lakh to Rs. 42.52 lakh, The 3 BHK flats has a much higher price tag on them as they will be costing from Rs. 49.66 lakh to Rs. 54.14 lakh with a square feet of built up area costing as much as Rs. 3200 in general.
Hey the 4 BHK flats here are pretty heavy when it comes to its cost. It is priced at Rs. 96.89 lakh and according to the builders this project will be completed by the June of 2016 which is fairly far away.

I think that the city requires 200 million litres of water every day. But only 170 million litres are pumped daily and only 140 million litres are available for distribution. In the year 2013, just 5 accidents were reported which were all serious. But the number slowly keeps rising. But now, this year. As per section 340 A of the Kerala Municipal Act (1994), a fine - ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 25,000 - can be slapped on an offender caught flushing out waste water in public areas and water sources.Oh.. what a pathetic situation. I think this is a very good idea. Crores of rupees are spent every year for repairing and resurfacing the roads. I think that the water shortage in the railway station is very acute now itself. I came to know that when last year,, in March 19, Kochi has recorded the highest for the month at 36 degree celsius. Then the number of diarrhoea cases rose up. I think this year the temperature is higher than last year. This will be the reason for the high amount of diseases spreading in Kochi.
