I’ve been living in Aluva for the past few years of my life and if you ask me ill definitely recommend this place to you. Aluva is a very peaceful locality. It is a bit isolated from the hustle of the main city, which I have always found appealing. The property prices are also lower than Edapalli.

The metro will be 25 kilometres long, and will be from Aluva to Pettah. You can also purchase property near South Ernakulam, or Edapally other than Vytilla. If you want to invest in land, the land near the metro line is an ideal place to buy property. In some localities interlocking bricks have been used to stop roads to become water-logged. In February, the deputy mayor had said that Rs. 5 crore would be allocated for cleaning drains and canals. The buildings are surrounded by trees and it has a lot of water fountains and a swimming pool too. Looks nice and is made luxuriously. Made with imported interior decoration. Hi, while I agree with the other people about Edakochi, I would also suggest you take a look at Thoppumpady, which is also near Edakochi. It is a quaint old place, and the facilities are also good. The Cochin Fisheries Harbour is also located there, so fish is a major portion of the food there, which is healthy. The place is also well connected to Mattancherry and Aroor. You also have good hospitals in that area.

The new Brahmapuram solid waste treatment plant will be ready by the end of 2014. The old treatment plant had a few technical snags which is why a new plant is being readied. The new plant will be of use for Kochi as well as for some municipalities around Kochi.
The solid waste treatment plant will also have a composting section, effluent treatment plant, and a bio-methanation plant as well. But, there have been some delays with construction process as a few agencies have not received the work order. Various biogas plants like the ones at Ernakulam Market, Kaloor slaughterhouse, and Ayurveda hospital compound at Fort Kochi Veli are all in very bad conditions. On top of being a futile effort by the Kochi Corporation, these plants are also causing various types of hindrances to the locals. The biogas plant situated at Ravipuram has exploded when it got overloaded with gas. This has created havoc among the residents nearby. Out of the fifteen biogas plants set up in and around the city to treat biodegradable wastes and also generate electricity, eight plants are not functioning due to poor maintenance and supervision. Even in March this year, there were many traders who have shops in this area, protesting against the construction of the bridge. But now they have started work on the project, and they authorities have said that they will complete the project in record time. The level crossing which is near the Ernakulam junction and Shornur junction has had major traffic jams every day. The project was sanctioned by the government in January, 2014 but it has taken some time for construction work to begin as power lines, water lines, and telephone lines had to be shifted before beginning construction work. This water problem is why we dread the summer time. ALmost every year, the rise in summer heat and the lack of sufficient rainfall leads to water scarcity somewhere or the other in city of Kochi. West Kochi is affected the most though and central Kochi is affected to a lesser extent but still faces the consequences nonetheless. Edapally is a part of central Kochi and last year the situation got very bad. The authorities used to cut off water supply without even informing us before as they used to do some repair work or the other. This was very irritating because we relied on this water for drinking purposes! Yes, water tanker is there but always there'd be very little quantity. The Kerela Water Authorities should find a permanent solution to this problem as fast as possible! This water problem is why we dread the summer time. I think the plan is to give Aroor an infrastructural face lift so that property prices will increase and there will be more revenue from Aroor. There are also many upcoming projects that you should take a look at, if you're looking to invest. For example: The Tata Tritvam residential project. The corporation has promised that the work will be commissioned in 4 months time. But as of right now, there is complete disorder and chaos at Vaudathala crossing level because of the Pachalam road diversions due to bridge works. About 195 trains pass by here daily and it is extremely infuriating waiting for so long just to get to the other side. By the time a 2 lane bridge comes up at Vaduthala, bottlenecked portions of Goshree Mamangalam Road can be widened. But this 22 metre 4 lane project was put away by Kochi corporation as they didn't have enough funds for land acquisition. They had to resort to the 2 lane road. Only Tripunithura and Thrikkakara have some system in place but even these localities are finding plastic waste disposal to be a big pain. You must be referring to the Nettoor Thevara ferry service that stopped a year ago. Actually this ferry service started sometime in 2012 and transports hundreds of people from Nettoor and Thevara and was extremely useful. But because of some technical issue, the boat service stopped and residents from Nettoor found it very difficult to commute. Traffic used to be a huge headache but the situation is much better now with all these road development projects that are in process. The metro rail project is also going to be an important transportation facility here, that will make traffic flow subside on the roads. The beams for the flyover are to be made at the site itself because it's quite expensive. Full fledged work is going to resume only after monsoon season. Dude, better option will be to get inter-city buses. Especially if your destination is any of the neighbouring cities. They are fixed on acquiring the land of this textile which is at MG road. I think that the average price per sq ft in Parthasaradhy Signet Arc around 1800 rupees. That is quite affordable for a 2 and 3 bhk apartments. The buying price is approximately 18 lakhs to 25 lakhs. Let me tell you about the excellent connectivity of Kakkanad. Both the Seaport-Airport road and the SH 41 pass through here, so the localities on all four sides are within easy reach. Hye Gandhi Nagar is right next to the Ernakulam South Junction ! The Ernakulam South Railway Station is only 1 and a half km from here. So there wont be any problem if you want to travel any where outside. The location of this project works really well for me. Its basically located really newar the Kathrikadavu overbridge, which makes it pretty easily accessible. I personally like the project. It stands by the side of the proposed 100 feet wide Ring Road. Hello. The corporation, with the support of Kochi Metro Rail Ltd (KMRL), has already prepared a plan for developing water transport in the city. Yeah..but, I came to know that until 2011, Cochin Port’s Rajiv Gandhi Terminal was handling such cargo. The lowest capacity of 2,000 litres of water could on an average cost Rs. 600 for a trip. There were tankers that ferry up to 35,000 litres of water. Though the original proposal was to acquire 1.16 acres for parking lot and Metro station at Edappally, KMRL on February 10, 2015, sent a letter to revenue authorities asking them to cut short the extent of land to just 55 cents.Hi. This budget is more better than the previous one. In the last one, there was a very bad proposed budget because, there was absolutely nothing changed in the previous budget.
